goodness - i miss humor that makes us laugh and think at the same time. hmmm in fact I miss humor that was politically incorrect - for more than ugly shock value. I know, old fart speaking again ;))
I felt all the tension of the last month, filled with tight deadlines, acrimonious meeting, intractable problems - all hiss away when I remembered this Monty Python gem. I'd been so significant and to tell the truth, dysfunctional!
Art, humor, poetry - where in the world would I be without them. And fellow travellers with whom to enjoy the journey with!
I'm making an old year resolution to begin using the word “daft” regularly. No, really, I'll have the opportunities on a daily basis. Thank you so much for posting this, today was a great day to have it pop up.
By the way, I really liked that neat little scroller thing with lyrics on it. I notice it doesn't automatically tell you where to go if anyone wants lyrics. Personally, I can never quite remember lyrics or hear them well enough, so I like to be able to look 'em up when I want to. I found these ones her:
Reminds me of the old joke about the two photons in a bar. One photon says to the other, “Hey, do you….” The second one says, “What? I can't heeeear you.”
Dear Albert, I think my brain just imploded or exploded or at least went into the eleventeenth dimension when I saw the diagram in Brian Greene's page titled - Cosmic microwave background radiation fluctuation after subtraction of dipole and galactic emission. And, coincidentally, I am reading this book on String Theory by the guy with a Japanese name. That + Monty, and I can now honestly say that I am, after these rhapsodic diagrams and discussions, prepared to pick up my life and go on as if the universe had never happened, and get back to work! Many thanks!
Albert, I can't see/sense you here in the Eleventeenth. Where are youuuu? There is a bit of an unquantified quantum disturbance between the Eleventh and the Eleventeenth. To be precise, the warp is at ElevenandaFifth and EleventhandaQuart. I checked my copy of of A Theory of Everything and its blank about that space.

Great site.

Sorry.
And it reminds me of this, this, this, and this.
I'd never seen Monty do this one before - thanks.

Ah yes. Isn't that what Hawking said, that the universe didn't happen, it just is?
I'm chilling in the 7th dimension right now - I'll stop by the eleventeenth a bit later to say hi.
;-)
