Ragamuffin Joy
I loved the enraptured attention and energy with which this street kid played.
A little later, her brother, smaller than her, joined in and the battle for supremacy that ensued was glorious! Too bad I didn't capture that, but I got her message to me - It doesn't matter what you have or don't have - just a hand-me-down dress will do fine! Just play!
Season's Greetings to all!

It brings us back to a time of more innocence, doesn’t it? Where we can play without thoughts of have or have-not. Such joy here!
Absolutely, Kath - you know, around that age, I remember so well spinning around and around in a park and then falling down dizzy, face up and watching the sky spin around overhead, and the overpowering smell of fresh green grass all around me! And there was nothing else. No place to get to. I didn’t have to ”make it’. I was a natural born ‘play boy’! Sigh. I guess there are really some places that you can’t go home to. I’ve watched this video a half dozen times - it really pulls me!
I never heard that definition of “play boy” before! You’re bringing back lots of good childhood memories of spinning spinning….
this tugged at my heart and smile strings to praveer. thank you so much for sharing it!!
i was struck by how she likes to go around the ball several times before kicking it – examining from all sides? working up a head of steam? getting her dizzy on? lovely : )
oh very cute. what a princess!
